El Monstruo didn’t start as a shop, it started as a way of understanding clothing.
Behind it is Tania, a designer and artisan who began sewing at just 8 years old, and who has spent more than two decades exploring fabrics, music, and vintage aesthetics.
Over time, that curiosity became a space of its own. A place where each piece is built from scratch—far from mass production, and close to something much more personal.
Here, everything begins with a fabric, one that has something special. From there, the process becomes almost ritual: choosing, trying, adjusting, creating.

El Monstruo is a mix of many things: the energy of rock & roll, the aesthetics of the 60s and 70s, fabrics found in markets and travels, and a constant obsession with creating something unique.
But above all, it’s about people, because when you walk in, you don’t just buy a piece, you become part of the process, that’s why many people come back. Not just for the clothes, but for how they feel wearing them: something personal, with character, with a story.
El Monstruo is a place you come to discover, to find something you didn’t know you were looking for and something you probably won’t ever find again in the same way.
